Claid AI Pricing in 2026: Plans, Credits, and Cost Per Image
Claid AI costs $9/month for Essentials (500 credits) and $35/month for Pro (2,000 credits). There is a free trial with 50 credits, and Business pricing is custom. API access is sold separately at $59 for 1,000 credits. All figures verified on claid.ai on July 27, 2026.
The sticker price is the easy part. What decides whether Claid is cheap or expensive for you is what a single credit buys, and that changes a lot depending on which operation you run.
What does Claid AI cost in 2026?
Claid sells four web tiers. Here is what each one includes, as listed on the pricing page today.
Free trial — $0
50 credits to spend on any operation, access to all Standard tools, and 50 API credits to test the API. Claid also describes this as getting familiar with the Professional plan features through 5 trial images.
Essentials — $9/month
500 credits per month. Standard resolution output, capped at 2K. Upload limit of 10 MB and 24 MP, download up to 64 MP. History is kept for one month.
Pro — $35/month
2,000 credits per month. This is the tier that unlocks the Premium tools, including 2K and 4K generation, plus batch processing, priority queue, and brand kits. Uploads go to 20 MB and 48 MP, downloads to 128 MP, and history is kept for three months.
Business — custom
Advanced API workflows, custom SLAs and setup, dedicated support and onboarding, and unlimited operations on the feature table. Priced by conversation.
Claid notes on the page that prices may change, so treat the two numbers above as accurate for late July 2026 rather than permanent.
How do Claid credits actually work?
Claid moved away from feature-gated plans. Every plan now gets a monthly credit pool you spend on whatever you want, and each operation has a fixed credit price.
On the web plans, the costs are:
That spread is what decides your bill. Background removal and a product photoshoot differ by a factor of four, and a single 5-second video costs more than eight product photoshoots.
Claid publishes the resulting caps directly. On Essentials you get 125 AI Photoshoots or 500 background removals. On Pro you get 500 AI Photoshoots or 2,000 background removals. On the free trial you get 12 photoshoots. Video is where the pool disappears fastest: 1 clip on the trial, 14 on Essentials, 57 on Pro.
What does one product image really cost?
Divide the plan price by the credits and the picture gets clearer.
Essentials works out to $0.018 per credit. Pro is $0.0175 per credit. The two web tiers are priced almost identically per credit, which means you are not buying a volume discount when you move from $9 to $35. You are buying resolution, premium tools, and headroom.
At those rates:
- A Standard-quality AI Photoshoot (4 credits) costs about 7 cents on Pro.
- A Studio-quality photoshoot (10 credits) costs about 17.5 cents, and you get 200 of them per month on Pro.
- A background removal costs under 2 cents.
- A 5-second AI video costs about 61 cents.
Seven cents an image is cheap against a photographer, and the gap is not close. We broke that math down in our guide to product photography pricing in 2026.
For a real brand, though, the number that matters is cost per usable image.
Is Claid AI free?
There is a free trial, not a free tier. You get 50 credits once, enough for roughly 12 Standard AI Photoshoots or 50 background removals, and then you subscribe.
People search this because they want to know whether they can run a catalog through it without paying. You cannot. What 50 credits will tell you is whether the output holds up on your specific packaging, which is the right thing to spend them on. Run your hardest SKU through it: the one with small type, a reflective surface, or a color that shifts under studio light.
What do you give up on the $9 Essentials plan?
Essentials caps output at 2K standard resolution. That is the constraint that catches people out.
Amazon wants images over 1,000 pixels on the longest side for zoom to work, so 2K clears that bar. But if you are producing hero images for a site with a large product viewer, running paid social at high resolution, or planning to crop into a shot, 2K gets tight. Claid puts 4K generation behind Pro.
Essentials also has the lowest upload ceiling of any tier at 24 MP, below even the free trial's 48 MP, and downloads cap at 64 MP versus 128 MP on Pro. If you shoot on a modern camera and upload full-resolution source files, check that limit before subscribing.
How much does the Claid API cost?
The API is billed separately from the web plans. Self-serve API access is a one-time purchase of $59 for 1,000 credits, with a default rate limit of 4 requests per second and 120 per minute.
That works out to $0.059 per credit, roughly 3.4× the cost of a credit on the Pro web plan. If you are running volume through the API, that difference compounds fast, and it is the point at which the custom Business pricing conversation starts making sense.
The API also prices some operations differently than the web app. Background removal is 2 credits via API versus 1 on the web plans, AI backgrounds are 3 credits, AI fashion and AI edit are 2 each, and text-to-image is 1. Video is 35 credits for 5 seconds or 70 for 10. A few utility operations are effectively free: resize and crop cost 0 credits.
If you are comparing Claid to another tool on API cost, compare the per-operation credit counts, not the headline credit price. They are not the same table.
Is Claid worth it for a real product catalog?
Run your own catalog math before subscribing.
Take a 200-SKU brand producing six images per SKU. That is 1,200 images. At 4 credits each, you need 4,800 credits, about 2.4 months of Pro or a Business conversation. At Studio quality (10 credits), the same catalog costs 12,000 credits.
That is not a criticism of Claid's pricing; it is the arithmetic of catalog-scale creative on any credit system. But it does mean the $35 tier is a tier for a small catalog or a steady trickle of refreshes, not for a full catalog build-out. If you are sizing a catalog project, our post on the ROI of AI product photography walks through the volume side of the same question.
Where Claid is a good deal
Credit-for-anything is a better model than feature gating, and Claid deserves credit for moving to it. You are not paying for a photoshoot tool and then discovering background removal is on another plan.
Background removal at 1 credit is close to free at scale. The upscaler going to 559 MP on Business is legitimately strong, and more than most brands will ever need. A $9 entry point with no annual commitment is also a low-risk way to test AI product imagery. For a brand with 20 SKUs and a background-removal problem, Essentials is hard to argue with.
Where the credit model gets expensive
Video and retries. At 35 credits per 5 seconds, video will eat a Pro plan in under two months if it is a real part of your mix.
Retries are the line most people leave out of the budget. Every regeneration spends credits again, whether or not the output was usable. If a tool renders your label text slightly wrong and you run it four times to get one clean result, your real cost per usable image is 4× the published rate, or 28 cents rather than 7. On a catalog with detailed packaging, that multiplier does more to your budget than the difference between any two plans.

This is the specific failure mode consumer brands hit: small type on a supplement facts panel, a logo lockup that drifts, a Pantone that shifts a shade between generations. The published per-image price assumes the first output ships. For plain products it often does; for dense packaging it often does not.
We compared how the tools in this category hold up on exactly that in our Claid AI review and in the head-to-head on Claid vs Kive.
If label fidelity across a lot of SKUs is the part you are worried about, that is the problem Pikes was built around — persistent brand context and product references so packaging detail stays put across a whole catalog rather than being re-rolled every generation. Worth a look next to Claid if your retry rate is what's driving your bill.
Frequently asked questions
How much is Claid AI per month?
$9/month for Essentials with 500 credits, and $35/month for Pro with 2,000 credits. Business is custom-priced. Verified on claid.ai on July 27, 2026.
Does Claid AI have a free plan?
No. It has a free trial with 50 credits and 50 API credits, which is roughly 12 Standard AI Photoshoots. After that you subscribe.
How many credits does an AI Photoshoot cost on Claid?
4 credits at Standard quality and 10 at Studio quality on the web plans. That is 500 Standard or 200 Studio photoshoots per month on the Pro plan.
Is the Claid API included in a paid plan?
No. API access is bought separately at $59 for 1,000 credits, though every plan including the free trial comes with 50 API credits to test with. You do not need a paid web plan to buy API credits.
What is the difference between Essentials and Pro?
Credits (500 vs 2,000), resolution (2K standard vs 2K/4K premium), premium features like batch processing, priority queue, and brand kits on Pro, longer history (1 month vs 3), and higher upload and download ceilings on Pro.
Do Claid credits roll over?
Claid describes credits as a monthly allocation. Treat unused credits as expiring at the end of the billing month unless their current terms say otherwise, and size your plan to your normal monthly volume rather than your peak.
